Southeast US
Air Quality...Begins April 1st 2008
Do you have a race the weekend of March 8 - 9nd? If so, I've included a "weather overview" for the
entire country. I've also included a more specific forecast for the southeastern US. If you need
something for your race, let me know and I can give you a forecast.
Most of the weather attention will be focused on east of the Mississippi river as a strong area of low
pressure rides up the Appalachian mountains Saturday into Sunday, spreading heavy rain to the east
and northeast of the storm and snow to the west and northwest. Strong winds will also track with the
system making for a tough outdoor activity day from the Ohio valley to the Northeast US late Saturday
and Sunday. A weak system will roll into the extreme NW US Saturday, while the remainder of the
country is relatively dry.
What do you need? A weather
forecast for an upcoming
sporting event, a road
race/triathlon, or an upcoming
outdoor event? Just let me
know and I'll provide you the
answer.

Most of the precipitation will be exiting the region by Saturday afternoon, but winds could be rather brisk
and cold Saturday afternoon in the Carolinas as high pressure begins to build into the region. Sunday
will be seasonal across the entire Southeast making for a good day to plan any outdoor activities..
If you need a more specific forecast let me know!
